Hi I’m Christina, I am an Academic Language Therapist trained through ASDEC with a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master of Arts in Teaching. Since 2016, I have taught elementary reading and supported students in building the foundational skills necessary for long-term literacy success.
I specialize in working with elementary-aged students who need explicit, systematic, and individualized reading instruction. My teaching focuses on phonological awareness, phonics, decoding, spelling, fluency, and comprehension. I use a structured approach that helps students strengthen weak skill areas step by step, making learning more manageable and effective.
My experience includes teaching reading in elementary settings and providing targeted support to students with a range of literacy needs. Over the years, I have seen how powerful the right instruction can be when it is tailored, consistent, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I especially value helping struggling readers build both the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
As a tutor, I aim to provide more than homework help. I provide intentional, high-quality literacy instruction designed to create real growth over time.
