Over the years, I have learned that teaching is about learning the student(s) and how they process concepts and methods. In order to achieve results, the teacher/tutor must unlock the most comfortable concept for the student. Every student is different and brings a sense of brilliance to each teaching experience, and this is what I love most about teaching. I strive to teach in numerous different learning styles that will accommodate the needs of the student. Many factors determine learning styles that are appropriate. I welcome any suggestions or tools that may serve as a benefit to the learning experience.
I have had the privilege to teach in the classroom for five years, before transitioning to administration. I have taught students ranging from grade 2 to grade 12. I truly enjoy teaching Math, English, Grammar, and Phonics to students grades 2-8. I worked with students in small groups and in a classroom setting. It is so great to have the ability to interact with students in small groups. I try to make learning fun by introducing a topic with graphics.

I am not a certified teacher but I worked as a ParaEducator with students in grades 2-6. Teaching students Math at this age level is truly rewarding. This particular age bracket is crucial and requires a strong foundation. I was able to teach students the fundamentals that are necessary to develop strong math skills and reach high academic goals.
