Hi! I’m Nathaniel, an engineering student at Duke University majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science. As someone who successfully navigated the highly competitive college admissions process and earned scholarships to attend a top-tier university, I understand what it takes to stand out. I’m excited to share that knowledge to help students strengthen their applications, craft compelling essays, and prepare with confidence for the next stage of their academic journey. In addition to admissions guidance, I also specialize in tutoring math and computer programming—two areas where I have deep academic and practical experience that I love sharing with others.
I can offer guidance on building a strong academic and extracurricular profile, preparing for standardized tests, and managing deadlines effectively. I want to be a mentor and advisor—someone who helps students discover and articulate their unique stories while also building the skills needed to succeed in college-level coursework.
At Duke, I’ve taken rigorous courses including Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, and Data Structures and Algorithms. My experience extends beyond the classroom: I’ve worked on software development and engineering design projects and am currently completing an embedded software engineering internship at Stanley Black & Decker. These experiences have sharpened my technical skills and deepened my ability to explain complex ideas clearly and effectively.
Though I don’t have formal tutoring experience yet, I’ve consistently supported my younger brother and classmates with schoolwork over the years. I’m known for being patient, dependable, and approachable—qualities that help me connect with students and create a supportive, motivating environment.
Whether you're seeking help navigating the college admissions process or looking to strengthen your understanding of math and computer programming, I’d love to work with you. I’m here to listen, guide, and help you succeed.
