Hello! My name is Danielle K., but I go by Kita (pronounced KEE-ta). I specialize in STEM-related subjects—particularly biology, chemistry, animal science, and anatomy—as well as business-related courses such as research and academic writing, leadership studies, and business decision-making.
I hold an MBA from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a B.S. in Small Animal Science from Delaware Valley University—both earned with a 4.0 GPA. During my graduate program, I was named to both the Dean’s and President’s Lists. In my undergraduate studies, I received several academic honors, including the Presidential Scholar Award and the College of Agriculture, Health, and Natural Resources Dean’s Scholarship. In Fall 2025, I am excited to continue my educational journey by pursuing a Doctor of Criminal Justice degree at Tiffin University.
My academic background includes coursework in microbiology, biochemistry, organic chemistry, pathology and disease, and anatomy and physiology. My MBA emphasized research-based projects, and I have authored numerous academic papers on leadership theory and strategic decision-making.
With over 7 years of experience working with students—from ages 3 to 18 (including those with special needs) to adult learners—I’ve taught in both one-on-one and group settings. I firmly believe every student learns differently. One of my strengths is identifying each student’s unique learning style and helping them not just learn—but truly understand—the material. My favorite moment as a tutor is witnessing that “lightbulb” moment when a difficult concept finally clicks.
In addition to my academic work, I’m a certified personal trainer with specializations in fitness nutrition, orthopedic exercise, and TRX instruction. I’m also a certified canine handler with the Calvert K-9 Search Team, where I lead training for our live-find dogs and deploy on missions to locate lost or missing persons.
I look forward to supporting your learning journey and helping you achieve your academic goals!
