I am currently an Upper School math teacher at Saint James School in Hagerstown, MD. I have primarily taught math in my six years at Saint James but have also taught biology and have a strong background in both math and science.

I have considerable experience in foundational math and science classes; my focus at Saint James has been on Algebra 1/2 and a course that I helped to create and implement called Functions and Modeling, specifically designed to spark interest in math by demonstrating its many practical applications. I know that early engagement in math and science can be especially impactful on a student’s trajectory in these areas and in solidifying their interest in pursuing majors in these fields at the University level.
