Extensive experience as Assistant Professor at Blue Ridge Community and Technical College (retired) and as a retired middle and high school mathematics teacher in public and private schools in the state of Maryland. I have a B.S. in Secondary Mathematics and an M.A. in Education in Curriculum and Instruction.

I have 34 years of experience teaching middle and high school mathematics. I have also run after school math labs to provide one-on-one assistance available to all students in math classes in that building at two different high schools. I did online tutoring (as well as online teaching) during COVID while department chair at Blue Ridge CTC.

I am passionate about the subject of mathematics but just as passionate about supporting students who may struggle with the subject and building their confidence as we work together. I take the approach necessary to reduce students' math anxiety. As a teacher I have always been about commitment, dedication, and making a real difference in the lives of my students.

I teach one or two classes per semester as an adjunct professor at Blue Ridge CTC so including this academic year I have taught for 50 years! I am not ready to quit teaching yet as it has been a part of who I am. I bring these qualities to one-on-one tutoring as well
