I am a certified elementary school teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and a Master’s degree in Teaching. I am currently in my fifth year teaching 4th grade in a classroom setting.
I have extensive experience teaching upper elementary math, working with students in grades 3–5 with a wide range of abilities. In my classroom, I support students who are both on and below grade level by providing small group and one-on-one instruction focused on building strong foundational math skills and problem-solving strategies.
My tutoring approach is structured, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I focus on key math skills such as multiplication and division, multi-step word problems, place value, and building number sense. I use strategies like modeling, guided practice, and step-by-step problem solving to help students gain confidence and improve accuracy.
I also use student data to identify skill gaps and track progress over time, ensuring each session is targeted and effective. My goal is to help students not only improve their math performance but also develop confidence and a positive mindset toward learning.
