Hi! I’m Edie, an academic therapist who specializes in supporting students with ADHD, Autism, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and other special needs. I help children and adults who struggle with traditional math and reading instruction build confidence, clarity, and real understanding without pressure or shame.

My approach goes beyond tutoring. I focus on how your child learns, not just what they’re learning. Sessions are structured, engaging, and tailored to neurodivergent learners using visual supports, step-by-step strategies, and flexible pacing. I work with upper elementary through college-level students, including those who experience reading and math anxiety, working memory challenges, or gaps in foundational skills.

Having taught math, reading, and English as well as special education, I have extensive experience supporting students with IEPs, 504 plans, and accommodation needs. With my experience as Associate Director and Star Trainer at Lindamood-Bell's Washington DC Center, I'm an expert at multisensory instruction. I partner closely with families to create sustainable progress, not quick fixes.

I offer a free 30-minute consultation to discuss your goals, learning challenges, and whether we’re a good fit.

Let’s take the stress out of learning and build skills that last.

Approved Subjects

ADHD

ADHD

With 15 years of classroom teaching experience and specialized training through Lindamood-Bell, I support students with ADHD in both math and reading. I have worked with learners from early childhood through adulthood in academic, workplace, and real-world settings. Because literacy and numeracy difficulties often stem from the same underlying challenges, I intentionally address both together. This integrated approach allows students to build confidence, stability, and transferable skills across subjects.
Dyslexia

Dyslexia

I have extensive experience supporting children, teens, and adults with dyslexia as an academic therapist and coach, focusing on building strong, confident readers and writers. I previously served as Associate Director and Star Trainer at the Lindamood-Bell Washington, DC Center, where I delivered and supervised intensive, multisensory instruction in reading, writing, and foundational language skills. In addition, I taught middle school English and reading, giving me deep insight into literacy development and curriculum expectations. My approach is structured, explicit, and supportive, with a focus on turning struggling readers into confident, lifelong pleasure readers.
Elementary Math

Elementary Math

I have over 25 years of experience tutoring elementary and foundational math for children, teens, and adults. I specialize in supporting learners with ADHD, Autism, and dyscalculia by identifying and filling gaps in core math skills that often interfere with confidence and progress. My instruction uses visual models, hands-on tools, and clear step-by-step strategies to make abstract math concepts concrete and understandable. I create a calm, supportive learning environment where students can build strong foundations and experience success in math.
Marketing

Marketing

I have a master’s degree in e-commerce and over 10 years of experience in branding and social media marketing. I have coached entrepreneurs, writers, and musicians on developing a clear brand identity, growing an authentic online presence, and creating content that connects with the right audience. My work includes strategy development, platform positioning, and consistent messaging across social media and digital channels. I focus on practical, sustainable marketing systems that support long-term growth rather than short-term trends.
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

I have extensive experience teaching pre-algebra across a wide range of settings, including general education, inclusion classrooms, self-contained special education, and advanced (GT) courses. In addition, I have over 10 years of tutoring experience in pre-algebra, supporting children, teens, and adults with ADHD, Autism, and dyscalculia. I specialize in identifying and filling foundational skill gaps that often hinder success in algebra readiness. My instruction uses visual models, hands-on tools, and clear strategies to make abstract pre-algebra concepts concrete and accessible in a supportive learning environment.
Special Needs

Special Needs

I have over 25 years of experience working with special needs students as an academic therapist, former teacher, and coach, supporting learners from early childhood through adulthood. My background includes working with students with learning disabilities, ADHD, Autism Spectrum and developmental delays, behavior and emotional disorders, and physical and sensory impairments. I focus on innovative, specialized interventions that strengthen executive function, social skills, and academic performance across settings. I also specialize in transition special education, helping students with disabilities prepare for success in college, the workplace, and independent living.
