Hi! I’m Edie, an academic therapist who specializes in supporting students with ADHD, Autism, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and other special needs. Academic therapy is not a "quick fix" and is different from tutoring, which merely reinforces school curriculum. Its focus is on fixing the root cause of learning difficulties.
I focus on how the student learns, not just what they’re learning. Sessions are structured, engaging, and tailored to neurodivergent and special-needs learners using visual supports, step-by-step strategies, and flexible pacing. I work with kindergarten through adult-level students, including those who experience reading and math anxiety, working memory challenges, or gaps in foundational skills.
Having taught math, reading, and English as well as special education, I have extensive experience supporting students with IEPs, 504 plans, and accommodation needs. With my experience as Associate Director and Star Trainer at Lindamood-Bell's Washington DC Center, I'm an expert at multisensory instruction. I partner closely with families to create sustainable progress, not quick fixes.
I offer a free 30-minute consultation to discuss your goals, learning challenges, and whether we’re a good fit.
Let’s take the stress out of learning and build skills that last.
