My professional experience includes mentoring graduate students, teaching undergraduate courses, and training researchers across disciplines in research design, data analysis, and academic writing.
As an Adjunct Faculty member at Montgomery College for eight years, I taught Introduction to Sociology and Introduction to Social and Cultural Anthropology to diverse student populations, including high school students in the Dual Enrollment program and adult learners returning to education. I designed course materials, led engaging classroom discussions, and supported students in developing strong writing and analytical skills. In addition to classroom teaching, I served as a Dissertation Chair at Northcentral University, guiding doctoral candidates in education, business, and psychology through each stage of their dissertation process. This included helping students refine research questions, select qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods designs, and strengthen their academic writing.
My approach to tutoring is student-centered and supportive. I adapt my methods to each learner’s goals and level of experience, whether they are undergraduates mastering the foundations of sociology and anthropology, or graduate students preparing thesis and dissertation research. My background also includes years of one-on-one coaching in qualitative methods and software like NVivo and Atlas.ti. I am passionate about helping students build confidence, develop practical skills, and achieve success in their academic journeys.
