Hi there! My name is Mihith, and I’m a college student who’s passionate about tutoring!
First off, let me address something. I know that I’m younger than a lot of other tutors. But let me tell you why I actually think that’s actually an advantage. To put it simply, I was in the same situation as many of my students not too long ago—learning about difficult topics, and finding ways to solve problems. Being up to date with the material allows me to explain concepts in a way that’s relatable, current, and easy to understand.
For a bit about my educational background, I recently graduated from an accelerated STEM magnet program, maintaining a 4.0 GPA while taking upper-level math and science classes like AP Calculus BC, Multivariable Calculus (Calculus III), AP Statistics, AP Biology, and AP Chemistry. This strong foundation has not only prepared me academically but also given me the tools to explain complex concepts clearly to students with varying levels of understanding. That’s actually what I’m most passionate about: explaining things to my students in the clearest, easiest-to-understand way possible. It’s how I learned best in school as well.
With two years of tutoring experience, I bring a blend of structured and adaptive teaching methods to my sessions. At the first tutoring center I worked at, I served as an English and Math teacher for a year. This role introduced me to different learning styles and helped me adjust my teaching pace to each student’s needs. Following this, I spent a year at another, more advanced tutoring center as a math tutor, where I gained more experience in both one-on-one and group tutoring for upper-level math. My approach centers on fostering a growth mindset. I aim to build student confidence by breaking down each step and encouraging questions. I have a saying: "The only bad question is the one you didn't ask."
Looking forward to hearing from you—thanks for reading!
