I am a Maryland-licensed Secondary Science Educator with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences and four years of classroom teaching experience. During this time, I have taught high school students from 9th to 12th grade in Honors Biology, Chemistry, Zoology, Nutrition, and general high school science. I have guided learners through both foundational concepts and advanced topics. I also have 8+ years of experience working in healthcare, giving me a practical understanding of anatomy and real-world applications of biology. My diverse background allows me to connect scientific concepts to to everyday experiences, making learning engaging and relevant for students. My tutoring approach is interactive, visual, and student-centered. I use digital whiteboards, diagrams, and step-by-step explanations to help students grasp challenging concepts, prepare for exams, and develop strong study habits. I focus on fostering confidence and independence while tailoring each session to the student’s unique learning style and needs. Whether preparing for an AP exam, improving class grades, or strengthening conceptual understanding, I provide structured and practical support to help students succeed.

Environmental Science

Environmental Science

I have a strong foundation in ecology, ecosystems, and environmental biology from my biology degree and teaching experience. I have taught students concepts like energy flow, population dynamics, conservation, and human impacts on ecosystems using labs, simulations, and data analysis exercises. I emphasize connecting scientific principles to real-world environmental issues. My approach is hands-on, visual, and inquiry-based which encourages students to think critically about environmental challenges.
Nutrition

Nutrition

Through my biology background, healthcare experience, and teaching experience, I have taught human metabolism, the biochemistry of macronutrients, and physiological effects of diet. I have taught students how to apply these concepts to real-world health and wellness contexts, including food cooking labs and research projects. I focus on helping students understand how nutrition affects the body at the cellular level as well as the psychological level. My lessons are interactive, evidence-based, and tailored to each student’s learning style.
Zoology

Zoology

Through my biology degree and teaching experience, I have taught honors level zoology topics such as phylogenetics, evolutionary adaptations, and classification. I have conducted labs and dissections that give students practical hands-on experience with field research and teach them animal anatomy, structure, and behavior. My teaching emphasizes interactive, visual, and inquiry-based approaches to help students grasp complex zoological concepts and apply them to real-world observations.
