Hello, my name is Amani R. and I am an English tutor and teacher who is passionate about literature, reading, and writing skills. I have a BA in English from the university of Mary Washington, as well as a Masters in Secondary Education from the University of Mary Washington.

Hello, my name is Amani R. and I am an English tutor and teacher who is passionate about literature, reading, and writing skills. I have a BA in English from the university of Mary Washington, as well as a Masters in Secondary Education from the University of Mary Washington.

I have several years of experience in tutoring writing and reading; I am currently working as an English, Language Arts teacher. I have 5 years experience teaching middle school (7-8) English, Honors English, and Advanced Programs; I currently work at a high school teaching 10th grade English. I have experience working in Writing Centers where I helped Undergraduate and Graduate students improve their writing skills.

I believe that there is no such thing as bad writing, you just have to learn the rules. I believe in empowering students to find their English confidence and encouraging them to practice and improve upon their skills through hands on, guided tutoring session.

I have a serious passion for writing and for literature analysis, and helping students of all ages improve their writing, analysis, proofreading, written and oral communication skills.
