Hi! My name is Clay, and I’m an Economics student at Boston College. I graduated from the High School in Maryland with a 4.0 unweighted GPA, completed nine AP courses, and earned a 34 ACT superscore. I was inducted into the Cum Laude Society, received the AP Scholar with Distinction Award, and earned 5s on AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, AP English Language, and AP English Literature, & more.

I specialize in AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, elementary and middle school math, English, reading comprehension, writing, and ACT preparation across all four sections (English, Math, Reading, and Science). I also help students strengthen their study skills, prepare for exams, and build academic confidence.

I have extensive experience teaching and mentoring younger students. As Head Junior Coach of my local swim team, I helped coach over 150 children of different ages and abilities. This experience taught me how to explain challenging concepts clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and create an encouraging environment.

My teaching approach focuses on making difficult concepts easier to understand through step-by-step explanations, targeted practice, and personalized strategies. I believe students learn best when they understand why something works rather than simply memorizing answers.

Whether you’re preparing for an important exam, looking to improve your grades, or hoping to get ahead academically, I’d love to help! Feel free to contact me to discuss your goals and schedule a lesson.
