I currently hold a Master’s in Economics and Health Management at the University of Delaware, and spent my undergrad at Cornell University to graduate as a Pre-Med student in Biological Sciences. At both universities I also competed as a Division I student-athlete, where I learned to balance academics and athletics. My academic background has provided me with a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, and quantitative reasoning. I have developed a strong understanding of how to break down complex scientific, mathematical, and analytical concepts at every level, into clear and digestible explanations that are easier for students to understand and apply.
I have experience supporting peers and younger students in academic settings through volunteer opportunities, academic mentorship, and team-based leadership roles. As a former student-athlete, I often helped teammates with general STEM coursework, especially in preparing for exams and improving study strategies. My approach to tutoring focuses on identifying gaps in understanding, reinforcing fundamental concepts, and building confidence through step-by-step problem solving. I emphasize active learning techniques such as guided practice, repetition with variation, and real-world application to ensure students not only memorize material but truly understand it.
I have worked with students in both one-on-one and small group environments, primarily at the college level but also with high school students through mentoring and community-based academic support. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s learning pace and needs, whether they require help catching up in class, preparing for exams, or improving long-term study habits. My goal as a tutor is to create a supportive and structured environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing critical thinking skills, and ultimately gaining independence in their learning process.
