I’m a first-year fifth grade teacher, currently teaching reading, writing, and social studies. I earned my undergraduate degree in sociology from the University of Maryland and went on to complete my Master’s in Teaching at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Last year, I completed an internship with a third-grade classroom, where I gained hands-on experience working with elementary students and helping them grow in reading, writing, and social studies through small-group lessons, one-on-one support, and engaging activities.
Even though this is my first year teaching full time, I’ve had experience using different teaching methods that keep learning fun and interactive. I like incorporating games, collaboration, and real-world connections into lessons, which helps students stay engaged and understand concepts better. I also focus on supporting students at different skill levels so everyone can feel confident and successful.
I feel ready to tutor students in reading, writing, and social studies because of my classroom experience and my passion for helping kids learn. I enjoy building positive relationships with students, making learning hands-on and exciting, and adapting lessons to fit each student’s needs. My goal is always to make learning meaningful while helping students feel confident and motivated.
