I studied for a Bachelor's of Science in Bioengineering at George Mason University. I currently work as a Biopharma Manufacturing Associate with GSK where I work to grow cells for vaccines. I taught students with Individual Education Plans as a Specialty Assistant Teacher at a middle school in Math and Science for a year and half. I also tutored for 4 years while I was in college. As a student in K-12 I graduated with a 4.2 GPA while working part-time for most of high school. I was one of those students growing up who would help my peers out with class content all the time.
Although I enjoy my career in Science, I've been practically teaching my whole life. If you choose me to work with you, I will ensure a comfortable environment that encourages confidence and patience, especially as I have experience teaching students with IEPs and have ADHD myself. I make it clear that not understanding a concept, no matter how simple or complex, doesn't mean the student is bad at the subject but that they need more clarity and time with the concept itself. My best quality with tutoring and teaching has always been being able to rephrase explanations that make sense to each student individually.
