My name is Dan and I have a Masters of Science in nursing from Walden University with a focus in Family Medicine. I am currently working as a nurse practitioner in Frederick, MD in an Urgent Care setting. I have also worked in Primary Care as a nurse practitioner. Prior to that I worked in a variety of settings in a hospital as an RN including emergency/ trauma, critical care, medical- surgical, telemetry, and step down.

I have mentored many nursing students during my day working in the hospital. I love seeing students develop an understanding of not only the science but also the intricacies of caring about the person (patient).
While working in a variety of settings, I have learned (from trial and error) an efficient way practicing safely. I can teach most aspects of nursing in an innovative and fun way.
