I'm Laura! I'm currently a junior in college double majoring in French and secondary education. I have a passion for the French language and culture, and I want to share it with as many people as possible. I've been studying French for almost 8 years and have spent 4 years learning under native speakers. Language has always been my favorite subject in school and I've had fantastic professors that have made learning fun, easy, and clear, elements which I try to incorporate into my tutoring approach. My lesson plans focus on one topic at a time and involve grammar, pronunciation, speaking, and listening exercises. Learning a language also take a lot of individual practice, which I ensure time for after teaching new material. Lessons can always be adjusted to an individual's needs.
I have three years of tutoring experience with all ages and levels, including elementary school, middle school, high school, and college level. I interned for a semester in a seventh and eighth grade French classroom, where I helped students practice new topics, and also aided those who needed extra help. I have also taught French at summer camp for children ages 4-12, where I introduced basic concepts, phrases, and met individual needs to ensure success.
