Hello! My name is Edwin, and I have always believed that every child is capable of learning when they are given the right support, encouragement, and teaching approach. Throughout my career as an elementary educator, I have had the privilege of working with students from diverse backgrounds, learning styles, and ability levels. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is watching a student who once struggled begin to understand a concept, gain confidence, and realize they are capable of succeeding. Those moments remind me why I chose education as my career and continue to inspire me every day.
I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and my Master's Degree in Education, and I am licensed in multiple states in Elementary Education (K-6), Mathematics, Spanish, and School Administration. I have taught in both traditional and bilingual classrooms, including Dual Language programs, and have extensive experience supporting English Language Learners. In addition to my classroom teaching, I have had the opportunity to train educators in effective instructional strategies, which has strengthened my ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt lessons to meet each student's individual needs. Whether your child needs help with homework, strengthening foundational skills, preparing for assessments, or building confidence, I strive to make every lesson engaging, encouraging, and meaningful.
I believe tutoring is about much more than improving grades. My goal is to help students become confident, independent learners who enjoy learning and are not afraid to ask questions or make mistakes along the way. I value open communication with families and believe parents are important partners in a student's success.
