My name is Salma, and I graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Physics and a Secondary in Computer Science, and I am starting my PhD in Physics at Johns Hopkins University this year. I have extensive experience teaching and tutoring, specifically, 3 years of experience teaching Harvard undergraduates in Calculus II, and one year assisting with Harvard's Quantum Mechanics Course.

I find teaching incredibly rewarding, and my primary goal as a teacher is to encourage my students that they can do whatever they set their mind to. That their success is in their hands, and for them to pursue! My methods focus on active learning techniques, where students and tutees are taught through doing, and where application of content is woven into the learning experience. I also recognize that each student is different, and thinks things through in a different way. Over the course of our sessions, I will pay attention to these nuances, and tailor the delivery of content for the specific learning style of each of my students.
In all my lessons, though, expect to work through challenging problems together, with a focus on understanding, not just doing. I am available to tutor Physics, Math and Computer Science at the high school and lower-undergraduate level, including AP Physics and AP Calculus. Feel free to message me if you would like to schedule a lesson or have any further questions!
