I am a native French speaker with extensive experience teaching and tutoring French to children, teens, and adults in both one-on-one and small-group settings. I have an academic and professional background in education, international programs, and capacity building, which has strengthened my ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt my teaching style to each learner. I have worked with beginners who are discovering French for the first time, as well as students who want to improve pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and conversational confidence. I am especially experienced in supporting young learners by making lessons interactive, engaging, and age-appropriate, while also helping adults build practical, real-life language skills.

My tutoring approach is student-centered and flexible. I take time to understand each student’s level, goals, and learning style, whether they are learning French for school, travel, personal enrichment, or bilingual development. For younger students, I use games, visuals, songs, and repetition to build strong foundations in pronunciation and basic sentence structure. For older students and adults, I focus on structured grammar explanations, guided conversation, reading comprehension, and real-world scenarios to help them feel confident using French in everyday situations. I emphasize correct pronunciation from the start and gently correct errors in a supportive way that builds confidence rather than anxiety.

I have taught students in one-on-one sessions and small groups, both in library settings and community environments, and I am comfortable working with learners of different ages and backgrounds. My goal is always to create a calm, encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. I am patient, organized, and committed to helping each student progress at their own pace while developing a genuine love for the French language and culture.
