Hi! My name is Fabrizio. I’m an undergraduate student majoring in Biology at Frederick Community College. I primarily tutor General Chemistry I, II, and Organic Chemistry I (and II after 06/2026!). I also offer tutoring in study skills and methods for excelling academically.
With my over 50 hours of tutoring experience, I place emphasis on what will help a student the most based on their academic goals. What I can confidently cover starts at drawing atomic structures in Gen Chem I and goes up to the most complex reaction mechanisms found in Orgo I. I can cover key techniques and concepts that help turn seemingly complicated multi-step exam questions into an easy step-by-step process. I have gone through various challenges to gain this experience.
Since hitting a brick wall academically, one of the biggest challenges I have overcome is how to be a proper college student. By reading relevant books on academic psychology and time management, learning from other successful students, asking questions, sometimes too many, and much more; I have learned how to take notes, properly study, read the textbook, and focus in class. These skills can be the difference between a D and an A; I went from having a below 2.0 gpa to now being a straight A student for over two years. I intend to use these skills to show other students how to excel in college.
Due to my past, I have a passion for making school easier and enjoyable for students of many backgrounds. Some students have full-time jobs and need to pass to get a promotion or enter a new career field. Other students hit a brick wall, like I did, and don’t understand why their study skills don’t work anymore. Seeing any student struggle is difficult to watch and relive. I desire to guide students towards their goals to prevent them from enduring the same failures I did. Using this drive, along with the knowledge I’ve gained under my previous professors, I aim to help any student wherever they may be in their academic journey to succeed as well as I now can.
