My name is Devaki, and I've recently graduated with a dual Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Maryland, College Park with an overall GPA of 3.6. With a deep passion for teaching and technology, I bring extensive experience tutoring students ranging from elementary through college levels. I have recently had the opportunity to tutor students at the University of Maryland for Calculus I and graded Differential Equations homework.
My knowledge is mainly math focused which includes K-12 Common Core, and higher math including Calculus 1, 2, and 3, Differential Equations, Computational Methods, Real and Complex Analysis, Graph Theory, Linear Algebra and Linear Programming, and some Cryptography/Number Theory.
My tutoring philosophy centers around clarity, patience, and adaptability. Recognizing that each student has a unique learning style, my approach is personalized to ensure every session is effective and engaging. With experience in various programming languages, including Python, Java, and C, I offer comprehensive support tailored specifically to your educational goals.
As the Data Science Lead at B!gTh!nk AI, the AI club at the University of Maryland, I've created educational content and conducted workshops for over 100 students, helping them grasp complex concepts in machine learning, data science, and artificial intelligence. Additionally, I have taken classes in Intro to Data Science, Deep/Machine Learning, and Biocomputational and Statistical Methods, which exemplify my knowledge in the world of Data Science.
