Experienced and Passionate Math and Computer Science tutor

Thushan R.

Hi, my name is Thushan. I am a senior computer science major and statistics minor at the University of Maryland, College Park. I have tutored for 3 years in math and computer science. I am comfortable teaching and am an Eagle Scout and so I love to help out and develop my skills. I have over 120 hours of tutoring on Wyzant as well.

In terms of professional experience, I have done 4 internships in the realm of Fintech, Biotech, and Commercial aviation, so I am proficient in my technical skills and can work great with new students.

In terms of tutoring, I have tutored in Calculus 1/2, and Algebra 2, Algebra 1, SAT Math, and Java programming. I scored a 750 SAT math and 5 on the AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC exams. I have tutored high school students and middle school students in the past in these subjects.

I wish to help students achieve similar goals and help broaden their knowledge and critical thinking skills in the field of math and computer science. I hope to branch into machine learning or software engineering and I can continue to help out and enjoy the tutoring experience. Please reach out for any questions!
