I am a recent retiree looking for the opportunity to enhance the life of a student. My daughter who is now 32 is a graduate of Yale university and UVA law school. Over the years I have always been an advocate of academic excellence offering my services upon request. My recent training/tutorial interaction has actually been on the corporate level training co-workers on new financial software and processes. My parents just retired from their tutorial agency where they provided successful tutorial services to many students over the past 20 + years.
I enjoy interacting with students and always take delight in the reactions and joy experienced when something new is grasped or a new technique is mastered. Every little bit learned is a stepping stone to becoming a well versed adult .
I have command of the English language and have written many standards of procedures over the years. I believe reading is fundamental and the basis for learning. Without reading and comprehension there is no success.
I look forward to the challenge of helping students to understand and enjoy learning which only leads to a successful outcome. Once I determine which resources will be used in the tutoring lessons based on strengths and weaknesses I can be flexible scheduling lessons
