I'm Elizabeth, a clinical psychologist who loves to teach and learn. I started off as an Environmental Engineering major at Johns Hopkins University before realizing that my true passion was Psychology. I went on to get a master's of education at Harvard University in 2014 with a specialization in Human Development and Psychology, and subsequently pursued my doctorate in School & Clinical Child Psychology at Yeshiva University. I graduated with my PsyD in 2019.

In college, I tutored my peers in Statistics through my school's "Learning Den." Between college and graduate school, I spent a year nannying full-time (where I provided frequent homework help!) and a year teaching English to middle school students in Israel. In more recent years, I've acquired experience tutoring middle, high school, college, and adult students in Statistics, Psychology, Pre-algebra and Algebra, and Study Skills. I spent my internship year working with special needs children at a residential treatment center, and I am currently working in private practice (specializing in work with eating disorders) as well as at a virtual eating disorder treatment center. My favorite subjects to tutor are Psychology and Algebra - my only regret in becoming a psychologist is that I don't get to use more math in my daily work!

I love working with kids and adults alike and do my best to make lessons engaging and fun. I am very patient and very reliable, and I care a lot about helping my students learn. I tailor my tutoring approach to each individual student and love to be creative. I do my best to respond to all requests within a few hours. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a lesson!

Elizabeth is a pleasure to work with!

I am so happy to have found Elizabeth as a tutor! She is incredibly patient and always has a positive attitude. When I am not understanding a concept, especially in statistics, she explains it one way, but if I still don’t understand, she elaborates and finds another way to explain it until I do understand. She really cares! She also always checks in with me to make sure I’m understanding what she’s saying. She is very thorough and takes as much time as I need to go through a concept or an assignment.

Terrific and Patient tutor

Elizabeth seems to really care . She is well prepared and knowledgable about the subject matter. She helps by providing notes as study aids. She is enthusiastic and highly proffessional as well. Most of all, she is calm, patient and willing to review and answer questions as much as needed.
