I began my teaching career in India, where I taught elementary mathematics to school students. In the United States, I have worked with elementary and middle school students in both classroom and one-on-one settings. I have taught 4th and 5th grade math, currently tutor K–8 students online, and also work as a Kumon Assistant Instructor, where I help students with math at different levels, including Algebra 2, using an individualized approach based on their level and learning needs.
My teaching approach begins with understanding what the student already knows and identifying areas that need support. I explain concepts step by step, use clear examples, and provide guided practice so students can understand not just how to solve a problem, but why the method works. I adjust my pace and teaching style to each student's needs and focus on building confidence, strong problem-solving skills, and independence in mathematics.
