I am a third-year medical student currently completing my clinical rotations, with a strong academic background in science and mathematics. I have a bachelor's degree in Molecular & Cellular Biology (1) and Public Health Studies (2) with a minor in Earth & Planetary Sciences from Johns Hopkins University. This past year, I have successfully passed the USMLE Step 1 (medical boards), with ongoing preparation for Step 2 (medical boards). My medical education has provided me with in-depth knowledge of subjects such as biology, anatomy, physiology, math, analytic reasoning, and test-taking strategies making me well-equipped to tutor students in these areas.

I have 10 years of experience tutoring undergraduate, high school, middle school, and elementary school students in a variety of subjects. I would not be where I am today without the amazing tutors who have shared their knowledge and time with me. Thus, I know first-hand how important it is to have a tutoring approach that is student centered - everyone learns differently and everyone is capable. I focus on breaking down complex topics into simpler, more digestible concepts while incorporating active recall and spaced repetition techniques. I have worked with students in one-on-one and small group settings, both in formal tutoring programs and peer mentoring roles. Proudly, I can admit that I receive updates from my prior students about their well-deserved academic accomplishments.

I am an aspiring pediatric cardiologist, so in addition to my tutoring experience, I have extensive experience working and connecting with children and adolescents. I strive for success in my students by cultivating a strong foundation of knowledge, building their confidence, and encouraging critical thinking skills that will serve them beyond the classroom.

I am finishing my third year of medical school. Throughout third year, we are required to rotate through core specialties (surgery, psychology, pediatrics, internal medicine, OB/GYN, ambulatory medicine, neurology, and family medicine) in which we are active members of the care team. I have been directly involved in coming up with patients' assessments and plans for treatment, including which medications they should be given in the hospital and upon discharge. Further, after each rotation I am required to take national NBME shelf exams to prove that I have mastered the content.
