Successful High School Honors and AP Chemistry Teacher

Hello! My name is Nicole and I have an Honors and AP Chemistry teacher in Maryland. I have been teaching in high school for the past 3 years. Prior to teaching high school, I taught all levels and topics covered in middle school science. I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Chemistry with a math minor and received my Masters in Teaching. I have been working on my Doctorate in Education for Science Education. I am certified to teach in Maryland and am awaiting National Board Teaching Certification this upcoming year.

I have worked with all student levels and populations. As a high school teacher, I teach Honors Chemistry, AP Chemistry, and Inclusion Special Education sections of Chemistry. I believe everyone is able to learn and enjoy chemistry and science. If you have found chemistry or science difficult or frustrating, it is because you haven't had the right person teaching it. Often times, the subjects you remember the most are the ones in which you can do engaging activities that catch your interest and that's what I try to incorporate into all of my science lessons.

I am happy to help with tutoring chemistry and physical science. I go beyond just answering questions, but teaching the processes behind how to get to the right answer.
