Hello! I'm a bioengineering student at the University of Maryland (Class of 2026) with a strong passion for helping students excel on standardized tests and in challenging STEM courses. I scored a 1560 on the SAT (800 Math, 760 Reading) and a 517 on the MCAT, with particular strengths in Biological & Biochemical Foundations (130) and Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior (132). Over the past four years, I’ve tutored students in test prep and science, and as a pre-med engineering student I’ve helped classmates in chemistry, biology, physics, and upper-level bioengineering classes.
My teaching style is patient, structured, and dynamic. I always start by understanding a student’s baseline—how they think, where they’re getting stuck, and what their goals are—so I can explain concepts in a way that actually makes sense to them instead of just throwing information at them. From there, I build an organized plan with clear goals, but I stay flexible and adjust as we see what works best, whether that means changing the pace, adding more practice, or approaching a topic from a different angle. I aim to make sessions focused and productive while still enjoyable, so students feel challenged but not overwhelmed.
I tutor SAT Math and Reading/Writing as well as the MCAT, with special emphasis on Psych/Soc and Bio/Biochem. I’m available for both online lessons and in-person tutoring in the College Park, Silver Spring, and DC area. To start students off on the right foot, I like to begin with a brief consultation with the student and/or parents to discuss goals and timelines, and to review any resources they’re already using or would like me to incorporate.
