I am a dedicated educator, having taught in schools, synagogues and summer camps for over twenty years.
I recently served as general music teacher for four years at a small Private School in the Washington, DC region.
I'm trained as a Cantor, having graduated from JTS in New York City with the Cantorial Degree and a Masters in Sacred Music.
Since leaving the Seminary, I have had the pleasure of being a music teacher in public schools, charter schools, and private schools. I've also worked in several synagogues, as Cantor, Education Director, and Hebrew School teacher.
While serving as Cantor at two different synagogues, I had the joy and honor to tutor over 50 children in preparation for their B'nai Mitzvah ceremonies.
In my most recent music teacher job, I supervised an after-school music lesson program, helping other music teachers find success as they taught small-group lessons to elementary and middle school students.
Whether working with a Bar/Bat Mitzvah student, a singer or songwriter, or a student working on an academic subject, my philosophy remains the same - let's have fun together as we learn and grow!
