Hello! My name is Krutant, an experienced tutor in math, science, and engineering!
I’m currently an Electrical Engineering PhD student. Still in school myself, this means I have experience being on both sides of the learning process, as a student and as a teacher. I have taken many high-level calculus courses, including partial differential equations and linear algebra. On the electrical engineering side of things, I have exceled in digital and analog circuit design, as well as digital signal processing. Electromagnetics is my focus area in grad school. On the teaching side, I have taught several math and science courses both on the high school and undergraduate level. The typical age of my students is 15-22, but I believe learning is possible at any age.
Many times, students see the amount of material that they must cover and immediately lose motivation. Don't worry, this is the standard response. What matters is to tackle the material head on, breaking it down into bite-sized chunks, and learn it step by step. I've developed several methods for remembering equations or concepts, as well as processes for solving certain types of problems. I have experience teaching both in person and online.
Specifically, my areas of expertise are math and physics, as well as computer coding. I've tutored students in high school math courses (Algebra, Statistics, Calculus, Trigonometry, Geometry), as well as prep for standardized testing such as the ACT and SAT. At the college level, my focus has been Calculus, Physics, and coding languages such as MATLAB and Visual Basic.
I just want to end with a note about learning any new subject. Learning is process, and each new subject will be difficult. However, what's even more important than subject material is figuring out how to learn, and what your learning style is. Over time, once you get better at learning, you can master a new subject much more quickly. If there's one thing I hope to teach you, its how to learn.
Thank you for reading, I hope to talk soon!

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I've been taking, and teaching, various levels of algebra for 10 years! I've had the opportunity to tutor students in middle school and high school, as well as college. Algebra, and mathematics in general, is a learn method of thinking. This is why I say that with guidance, anyone can develop the intuition needed to solve all kinds of mathematical problems. Please send me a message for any information or advice needed! Thank you!
Calculus

Calculus

I specialize in tutoring students for high school AP Calculus AB and BC courses. These are intro courses to calculus, and in my opinion most important for mastering the basics. I took the courses myself in my time, and tutored many students 1-1 after I graduated. I'm well versed in the types of mistakes students generally make, and can help you work through them. Thank you
GRE

GRE

I've tutored many students for the GRE and identified specific test-taking strategies that reduce nervousness and text anxiety. Students often make silly mistakes in GRE type questions and I have found certain mental routines help keep students focused during the test and reduce these mistakes.
SAT Math

SAT Math

I've been an SAT Tutor for 8 years, ever since I took the SAT myself. I've tutored 22 students in the SAT, and the average score of my students is 1557. I have a good repository of SAT questions and understand the format of the exam well. I also know about the recent changes of the SAT going digital and the formatting changes that come with that. My SAT tutoring philosophy is simple; practice practice practice! Much of students difficulty with the exam comes from stress and nervousness about the exam itself. By putting my students in the SAT environment, I make sure to remove as much of that nervousness as possible. We also use as much of the actual SAT material and scoring materials as possible.

Knowledgeable, patient and helpful tutor

Krutant tutored our daughter with several problems concerning systems of equations. He explained this is where two variables are in two equations and you have to solve both to get the answer. This type of problem shows up in many geometry questions. We appreciate how patient he has been during the tutoring sessions. He takes the time to ensure our daughter comprehends the material. We are highly recommend Krutant. We have booked 2 more sessions.
