Hi, I'm Siddhant! I'm currently a physics PhD student at UMD, and I'm excited to get to help students understand and fall in love with STEM! I graduated from UC Berkeley in May 2026 with two B.A. degrees in Physics and Statistics (GPA: 3.94). I have a strong mathematical background and intuition in physics, and have 4+ years of experience working in national laboratories in theoretical physics and computer modeling.

My first tutoring role was in high school, when I was hired to help a fellow student study for the AP Physics 1 exam. My teaching style focuses on developing intuition for types of problems instead of just memorizing formulas. To do so, I walk my students through each problem they are having trouble with, identifying the Givens, Unknowns, Equations of relevance, variable Substitutions, and Solutions (GUESS) method along the way. This method has been extremely valuable for me, helping me succeed through AP Physics C and my college coursework with a GPA of 3.9+.
In college, I was a teaching assistant for the Introduction to Probability and Statistics (STAT 20) course, where I held group office hours, aided in lectures, and also worked 1:1 with a visually impaired student. Through this experience, I honed my teaching skills in statistical concepts, but I was also challenged with interpreting data visualization to a student with a disability. Overcoming this challenge required rethinking how I approach teaching, and it has given me valuable insight into teaching students of all abilities.
I'm very passionate about math and science and would love to help students understand and gain confidence in these subjects!
