I’m a pre-dental student majoring in Dental Hygiene at the University of Maryland, where I’ve maintained a 3.7 GPA and earned a place on the Dean’s List for academic excellence. I first started tutoring in high school through a peer-mentoring program, helping classmates strengthen their skills in algebra and essay writing. Over the years, I’ve expanded my experience to working privately with middle and high school students in math and English, supporting learners who are catching up as well as those striving for top grades or preparing for college entrance exams. Having earned a 33 on the ACT and a 1540 on the SAT, I bring a strong academic foundation and first-hand test-taking experience to my tutoring, helping students feel more confident and strategic in their own preparation.

In math, I guide students through topics ranging from pre-algebra and geometry to calculus, emphasizing conceptual understanding over memorization. In English, I focus on grammar, reading comprehension, and essay writing, helping students write with structure and clarity. My approach is patient, encouraging, and flexible—I take the time to understand how each student learns best and adapt lessons accordingly, whether through visual examples, step-by-step practice, or discussion-based review. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to help them build lasting confidence and curiosity. Many of my students have gone from feeling anxious about certain subjects to genuinely enjoying them, and that growth is what makes tutoring so rewarding for me.
