I am a rising sophomore undergraduate student studying aerospace engineering at the University of Maryland. However, I am a junior in standing. I graduated from Winston Churchill High school in MD.
Since early high school, I have found myself tutoring a variety of students. I started with more elementary subjects such as basic mathematics, reading, and writing. As time progressed, I began to grow comfortable teaching a range of subjects such as algebra, trigonometry, calculus, physics, history, and many more. I have the ability to work with students of all ages. I am also able to work well with those who posses learning disabilities. This is because I myself am neurodivergent, having been diagnosed with ADHD. Furthermore, I have worked with a plethora of students through the Educational Resources Group of Greater Washington (https://www.edresourcesgroup.com), which specializes in providing services to those with learning disabilities. My method of tutoring places strong emphasis on adaptability, as all people learn differently. For certain students, I’ll approach teaching with a more visual approach, drafting detailed notes. Others respond more to an auditory approach, where I use verbal communication to stimulate learning. I have tutored in a multitude of environments including schools, libraries, at the students house, and online.
