Hello, I'm David! Prior to attending law school and graduating in the top 1/3rd of my class, I scored in the 98th percentile on the LSAT and taught LSAT to small classes and individuals for almost 4 years. After earning my JD, I scored in the 90th percentile on my state's bar exam. I loved the LSAT and law school because of the opportunity to explore specific fact patterns and the principles that guide the law's regulation of those patterns. I also loved my professors, and I am thrilled now to get the opportunity to share that love of learning with students who are in the same position I was in just a few years ago!

My teaching style is encouraging and positive, and I seek to help students gain deeper understanding of the material by focusing on the "why" behind the questions and answers. I love the material that I teach, and I believe that with a little effort, you can love it to! (At least, once your exam is finished.)

In addition to legal subject matter, I studied Music Theory and History in college, as well as piano, and I am equipped to teach AP Music Theory or College Music Theory to students seeking that information. I am familiar with harmonization, voice leading rules for multiple parts, chord analysis and key change analysis, and analysis of long form music (e.g. sonata form, etc.) I am also familiar with theoretical analysis techniques such as sequencing, inversion, retrograde, and acceleration and retardation of themes. I got a 5 on the AP Music Theory exam and received As throughout four semesters of college music theory on the way to a BA in music and political science.

Great insight and patient

Very comprehensive and thorough remarks. I wish I just asked if I should do something everyday or is it bad to do it all in one day? I know my other tutor said to do 15 drills a day and I always feel guilty. This is a probably more of a me issue but I wish I knew how to split the homework up and have clear instructions on what to tackle each day.

Great insight and patient

This was my first lesson and we went over a lot of law school basics and some practice questions. Hopefully we’ll only continue to grow as tutor and client going forward as I become more accustomed to the LSAT. He is super patient and kind.

Outstanding Law Tutor – Civil Procedure, Contracts, and Appellate Brief Expertise

Working with David was one of the best decisions I made during the semester. He helped me master difficult Civil Procedure topics like jurisdiction and helped me improve my essay responses drastically, he provided detailed feedback on my appellate brief, and guided me through key Contracts concepts with clarity and patience. His support not only improved my understanding but also boosted my confidence going into exams. He’s professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to student success. Highly recommended for any law student!

Excellent LSAT instruction from David M.

I worked with David on the LSAT and he was very helpful. He taught me formal logic and kept me on track with my studies. Because of his help, I was able to improve my score significantly and get into a law school being on the high end of their LSAT range. The investment was well worth it because of the scholarship I have received. I highly recommend working with David, as he was very nice and extremely helpful.
