Hi! I’m John, a nursing tutor dedicated to helping students and healthcare professionals strengthen their understanding, confidence, and clinical judgment in the ever-evolving field of healthcare. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2002, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing Education (MSN) at Johns Hopkins University in 2005, and later completed my Ph.D. in Nursing at the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2011. In addition to my academic background, I hold credentials as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Certified Nurse Educator (CNE), which allow me to bridge evidence-based theory with hands-on clinical practice.

Over the past 13 years, I have had the privilege of tutoring a wide range of learners aged 18-57 years—from aspiring nursing students to licensed professionals preparing for advanced certifications. My areas of expertise include anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, pathophysiology, medical-surgical nursing, pediatric and psychiatric nursing, and evidence-based practice. I also specialize in NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN exam preparation, offering comprehensive review programs, targeted study plans, and test-taking strategies designed to boost confidence and performance. My experience spans one-on-one instruction, interactive online tutoring, and small-group sessions tailored to each student’s academic needs and learning style.

My teaching philosophy centers on transforming theoretical knowledge into practical competence. I use case-based learning, scenario analysis, and clinical simulations to help students think critically, apply concepts confidently, and deliver safe, compassionate care. Rather than memorization, my approach emphasizes comprehension, reflection, and professional growth. Whether you’re pursuing your nursing degree, preparing for licensure, or aiming to enhance your clinical expertise, I’m here to help you achieve mastery and excel in your nursing journey.
