I actively maintain multiple professional and resuscitative medicine certifications, which have allowed me to develop a good understanding of testing psychology and formal exam structure. I stay current by doing Kaplan, UWorld, Saunders, Fitzgerald, Sarah Michelle test prep questions and CE's. I have mentored, precepted, and taught many nursing students in both associate, bachelor's, and graduate programs successfully, with measured success. I would love to help you with speaking and english writing assignments. Reading/writing has always been a very strong area for me. I especially enjoy doing grammar/rewriting edits, APA formatting, and paper structuring. Additionally, I have extensive doctoral level writing experience, with a heavy emphasis on researching databases and data review/appraisal. Of note, I completed database publishing of a 100+ plus, doctoral level, quality improvement project. I have a very friendly and patient demeanor, with a desire to help others succeed, especially when it comes to scholarly topics!

I have precepted many LPN, BSN, doctoral nursing students, helping them to ready themselves for board exams. Personally, I did 1600+ review questions and two review courses when preparing for my NCLEX exam- I treated it like a full-time job, and am versed in the preparatory process. I have maintained my BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications, and have my Certification in Emergency Nursing, demonstrating my commitment to staying clinically relevant in nursing.

I have a passion for teaching nursing, especially AANP/NCLEX test prep, pathophysio, A&P, APA, DNP project topics! I love to infuse humor, and get to know my students personally to make material relatable and relevant. I have my DNP and passed the AANP FNP exam in 7/2023. I completed an intensive 1.5 year long NP residency program with Johns Hopkins in Primary Care following graduation. I have 3 years as NP in family practice, and 11 years as a RN, mostly in ER/surgical setting. I have maintained active certs in ACLS, PALS, BLS. Additionally, I have my Certification in Emergency Nursing. I did over 1800 AANP style review questions and thorough content review via multiple high quality review programs, and felt very well prepared for the exam. Additionally, I passed my NCLEX in 75 questions after doing a week long Kaplan in-person review + approx 2200 practice questions. I treated both board preps like a full time job, with the adequate prep and structure it deserves.

Incredibly knowledgable, proactive and helpful tutor!

Shannon and I have covered several disease processes for Adult Health Theory II for my ABSN program. She is clearly knowledgeable and adept at helping a person to understand and grasp nursing concepts/processes (ADPIE) and even goes above and beyond to address NCLEX-style questions and thought processes. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
