Now...here's when the real excitement begins...
I worked as an ESOL Instructor for adult learners at Pagoda Academy in Seoul, South Korea, for two years. During that time, I developed curriculum, administered testing, and taught small classes in multiple areas of learning development. This was the best job in the whole world and I cherished every moment!
Since my return to the USA in 2012, I've been doing a mixture of teaching ESOL to adults and helping younger learners with their reading skills. At the moment, I am a high school English Language Arts teacher and I love it so far!
I have a great deal of patience when my students make errors because I know what it feels like for the teacher to make you feel dumb. I try to be diligent about providing sufficient processing time when students are trying to answer a question.
My passion and enthusiasm for English is evident in my teaching. I get excited for every single lesson!
I cannot wait to meet you and help you reach your learning goals in English. I have experience teaching learners from the ages of 5-60, both native and non-native speakers of English. Stop by and say "Hello!"
