Hi! I’m Sasha, and I’m passionate about helping students succeed in science, math, and English. I graduated from American University with a major in Biology and a minor in International Relations. I currently work in malaria research focusing on cell biology and will be starting medical school this fall. My academic background and research experience allow me to support students in subjects like biology, chemistry, and general science while helping them build confidence in challenging material.
I have over two years of experience as a General Chemistry instructor at the college level, where I held office hours, led tutoring sessions, and helped students improve their grades, often from failing to passing. I also have experience tutoring high school math and science, and with a perfect SAT Math score and a strong background in algebra, I enjoy helping students break down complex concepts into clear and manageable steps.
I am Lebanese and fluent in Arabic but was raised and educated in the United States, giving me native-level English proficiency. Because I understand both languages, I also enjoy helping Arabic-speaking students improve their English pronunciation, grammar, and conversational skills. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building the skills they need to succeed. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a session.
