Elementary Math

I have a strong foundation in math and science and extensive experience helping students build confidence in core academic subjects. As a biomedical researcher and a former Supplemental Instructor for General Chemistry, I regularly explain complex concepts in clear, simple ways that students can understand. ESL/ESOL

I am Lebanese and fluent in Arabic, but I was raised and educated in the United States, giving me native-level English proficiency. Because I understand both languages, I specialize in helping Arabic-speaking students improve their English pronunciation, grammar, and conversation skills. I am familiar with the common challenges Arabic speakers face when learning English and tailor my lessons to address those areas clearly and effectively. My goal is to help students build confidence, communicate naturally, and succeed in academic, professional, or everyday English.

MCAT

I am a biomedical researcher with a strong academic background in biology, chemistry, and biochemistry and scored a 511 on the MCAT after improving my score by 12 points in six weeks using a structured and strategic study approach. Preparing for the exam myself taught me how important it is to combine solid content review with efficient passage analysis and time management, which are essential skills for the MCAT. I work with students to develop individualized study plans that focus on their specific weaknesses while strengthening the core scientific concepts tested across all sections of the exam. During sessions, I guide students through AAMC-style passages, show them how to recognize common question patterns, and teach strategies for approaching difficult problems with confidence. My goal is to help students improve their scores while building the analytical thinking and study habits that will support them throughout medical school and beyond. In addition to tutoring, I have extensive experience teaching and mentoring students in science courses. I previously worked as a Supplemental Instructor for General Chemistry II, where I led review sessions, helped students work through complex problem sets, and supported them in developing stronger study strategies for challenging material. My academic training in biology and experience conducting biomedical research have also strengthened my ability to explain advanced scientific concepts in a clear and accessible way. These experiences have helped me develop an organized, supportive teaching style focused on helping students build both understanding and confidence as they prepare for the MCAT.

I scored a perfect score on the SAT Math section and have several years of experience tutoring high school math, including algebra and problem solving. I help students strengthen the core concepts that frequently appear on the SAT while also teaching efficient strategies for solving questions under time pressure. My approach focuses on breaking down complex problems into clear, manageable steps so students can build confidence and accuracy. I also work with students on practice problems and test-taking techniques to help them improve their scores and feel prepared on exam day.
