In May of 2012, I graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, specifically the Organismal Biology and Ecology concentration. During my education I gained experience with laboratory equipment and with working in a laboratory setting. In some of my classes I performed my own experiments. As of May 2016, I earned a Master of Science degree in the field of Secondary Education from McDaniel College as a part of their BEST program. There I had the opportunity to gain hands-on teaching experience through field practicums and student teaching with both Middle and High School students.
Today, I am working as a science teacher at Saints Peter and Paul High School in Easton, Maryland. There, I am teaching Standard Biology, Honors Biology, Honors Environmental Science, and Earth Science. In addition to teaching the content, it is my responsibility to design and alter the curriculum for those subject areas. I am also working with the science department to develop new science courses.
