I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at New York University (NYU Tandon School of Engineering), where I maintain a 4.0 GPA. I also earned my undergraduate degree in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from UMBC with honors. Through my academic training, I have developed a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and engineering, and I enjoy helping students build confidence in these subjects.
I have over five years of tutoring and teaching experience working with students ranging from elementary school through college-level courses. I have supported K–12 students in math and reading, as well as college students in subjects such as general chemistry, physics, and introductory engineering. My experience includes one-on-one tutoring, small group sessions, and classroom support in both in-person and virtual settings.
At UMBC, I worked as an undergraduate tutor and teaching fellow for an introductory chemical engineering course, where I led discussions, held office hours, created practice problems, and helped students prepare for exams. I also worked at the Academic Success Center tutoring students in STEM courses and adapting to online instruction during the pandemic. Earlier in my experience, I worked as a Kumon assistant, helping younger students strengthen their foundational math and reading skills.
Currently, I serve as a teaching assistant for engineering courses at NYU, where I help students during labs and assignments, answer questions, and provide feedback on their work. Through all of my roles, I have focused on breaking down complex concepts into simple, step-by-step explanations and tailoring my teaching approach to each student’s learning style.
My goal is to not only help students understand the material, but also to build their confidence and problem-solving skills so they can succeed independently.
