I recently completed my Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and am completing my Master of Public Health (MPH) at George Washington University after earning my Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. For over 10 years, I have tutored and mentored students from high school through medical school.

I also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at George Washington University, where I taught undergraduate biology labs and helped students master difficult scientific concepts. I tutor Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Nutrition, MCAT, USMLE, COMLEX, nursing, PA, and other health science courses.

My teaching style focuses on understanding rather than memorization. I break complex topics into simple concepts, teach efficient study strategies, and adapt every lesson to each student's learning style and goals. Whether you're preparing for an exam or trying to improve your grades, I create a structured plan to help you build confidence and achieve lasting results.

As both an international medical graduate and a U.S. Army veteran, I understand the discipline and perseverance needed to succeed in demanding academic programs. My goal is not only to help students perform well on exams but also to develop the skills and confidence needed for long-term success.

I offer a complimentary 30-minute consultation to discuss your goals, identify areas for improvement, and develop a personalized study plan before we begin. I look forward to helping you reach your academic goals.

Engaging and Knowledgeable

I had a really great experience working with Syed for the MCAT as second year college student. He was always patient, explained things in a way that made it easier to understand, and is very knowledgeable when I asked questions. He took the time to figure out what I was struggling with and focused our sessions on my weak areas, which made them really helpful. Syed also taught me how to approach MCAT questions and think through them rather than going through just content. I feel way more confident than when I came in. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for an MCAT tutor!
