I'm Angela! I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor's degree in Economics. After that, I earned a Master's in Art Teaching for elementary education at Goucher College, and later pursued ME.d degrees in Global Perspectives: Teaching, Curriculum, and Learning Environments at Boston College. Currently, I am a teacher at a public elementary school, licensed in elementary education and ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages).
This is my 5th year of teaching in public elementary school and I used to work at a tutoring center before becoming a teacher. I have great experience teaching elementary math, reading, and other subjects, especially working with students whose first language is not English and are learning English. I am also fluent in Korean and able to teach Korean as well. I really value education and believe that every student can succeed. Based on my experience in teaching, I can diagnose the areas in which students need to improve or the areas that the students or parents want to work on, and I am able to customize the lessons accordingly.
My primary goal is to maximize the benefits for the students I work with, and I am open to any resources or suggestions that students or parents may offer. I maintain easy accessibility and guarantee prompt responses. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me for any further inquiries or to arrange a lesson.
