A highly-motivated, enthusiastic artist with 3 years of experience teaching at the Art school. Educated painter with strong creative skills and passion for multimedia projects. Eager to share an experience and passion for art with a welcoming friendly attitude!
Kate Nalitkina (she/her) was born and raised in Siberia then moved to the US to search for
her own way in contemporary art. She had a passion for traditional drawing, painting and art
history as a student of Novosibirsk Art School `Snigery` successfully exhibited her works in
the annual painting competition and got a mayor's scholarship. She was eager to learn, to
improve her creative skills as an academy painter and graduated from Novosibirsk State Art
college. During the fine arts educational course Kate expanded horizons and started to work
with different drawing mediums, techniques and video art materials. For a few years she was
involved in the life of Art School, which she graduated from. Taught teens and children,
collaborated with artists and led a sketching group.
Also, she has been interested in exploring experimental filmmaking and created a couple
documentary films with alumni of the independent School of Documentary Film and Theater
of Marina Razbezhkina and Mikhail Ugarov. Kate has made a movie about her artist friend
and about the choice to be free with keeping child curiosity inside.
Kate primarily works with oil paint, graphite and charcoal pencils.She loves to experiment,
share her experience and passion about academic art with students.
