Hi! My name is Dr. Imbi D., PharmD. In my over 12 years of teaching experience as a pharmacy school professor, I have always humbly served my students with both passion and a keen instinct for how to approach the individual needs of each person. While serving as faculty, I started numerous workshops to assist students with development of study skills and communication techniques to land their dream jobs and post-graduate residency opportunities. These workshops were developed and operated while I also taught a range of courses including, but not limited to infectious disease pharmacotherapy, biostatistics, and pharmacoepidemiology.
Throughout the years, I have learned how to connect with students at various levels of knowledge and understanding. If I were to state which of my achievements has brought me the most satisfaction, it would certainly not be my research or publications, nor would it be the successful workshops that eventually earned incorporation and permanency in the pharmacy curriculum. It would be the moment when I was announced as teacher of the year. This meant that my students valued me as much as I valued each of them and their bright futures!
Though I have moved into a more clinical role with the institution where I continue to teach students outside of the classroom, I still favor the lessons and the lightbulbs that I am able to turn on within the didactic model! As your tutor, I look forward to working towards this end with you!
