Dr. Walker provided instruction in a comfortable, clear, and professional manner. She taught me passive versus active voice and the MEAL plan approach to paragraph structure. She then helped me reconstruct sentences from my writing sample to make them active and more concise. Dr. Walker also provided me with information on utilizing semicolons, transition words, and numerals to make my writing more clear and suscient. I was able to ask questions without fear of judgment and she helped build my confidence in my writing process. She encouraged me to read my writing out loud to detect mistakes and passive voice. Overall, I would very pleased with my session with Dr. Walker and I would recommend her to everyone!

Dr. Kristin’s approach as a tutor is of an exceptional caliber. As a doctoral student it can be challenging to meet a tutor who demonstrates the level of candor needed at that level of instruction. Dr. Kristine certainly surpassed the bar in that regard. Dr. Kristin’s attention to detail as she proofread my dissertation was exceptional. I have often been told that I’m an excellent writer, but having someone with an expert mastery of APA formatting and grammar in Dr. Kristin, was just the “icing on the cake” that I needed. Dr. Kristin will be an asset to anyone who is intuitive enough to consider hiring her as a tutor.

I should always keep in mind the context and syntax when writing. This will make writing easy and enjoyable. Always keep the reader in mind; the way you write it is the way it will be read.

A pleasant lady, but not very helpful
Kristin was a nice and pleasant person to interact with. I believe her services would be sufficient for an undergraduate student. In such a situation, an intelligent person such as herself can wing it, without much prior knowledge of the students’ specific needs. However, my needs required someone to keenly read my assignment and related materials which were sent beforehand in order to be able to assist me in nuanced areas. While her general advice was appreciated, it was not what I required to help me meet the instructional demands of my professors.
