West Virginia University (Statistics)
I have a B.A. degree in Statistics from West Virginia University. I currently work FT for the federal government. During the 2006 to 2007 school year, I worked with Tutorquest and Club Z! in Home tutoring agencies part time. I tutored various students in Algebra I, II, Geometry, and college algebra/statistics. While I was in college, I tutored student athletes in math subjects like college algebra and statistics. While in high school, I taught a religious education class run through my local church.
I enjoy helping students understand the complexities of math. I like taking topics which may seem rather difficult, breaking them down and making it easier to understand. I know how difficult it can be to understand certain concepts. I find joy in helping individuals learn because I know how difficult it can be to find help when you need it.
I work with all the latest techno stuff. I have an iPad and Android phone. I try to provide assignments using any free apps I can find.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have extension experience in this particular subject. My undergraduate major was statistics. I have taken various graduate level courses in Survey Methodology as well. Currently, I work for the US Census Bureau and statistics is a major part of our work.
