With a strong academic foundation in literacy and education, I hold a Master of Education in Reading, along with multiple Master of Arts in Teaching degrees in English and Social Science from Trinity Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from Hofstra University. I am a certified Reading Specialist (PreK–12) with additional certifications in English (6–12), Elementary Reading, and Special Education across multiple states. My training is grounded in evidence-based literacy practices, data analysis, and differentiated instruction, which allows me to tailor instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners across grade levels and ability ranges.

I bring over 15 years of teaching and tutoring experience in both classroom and small-group settings, working with students from elementary through high school, including those with learning differences, English language learners, and students reading below grade level. I currently work within a school system, where I teach English Language Arts (ELA) and writing while also providing targeted, data-driven reading interventions through small group and one-on-one instruction. My approach integrates structured literacy strategies, writing development, and ongoing progress monitoring to strengthen foundational skills and overall academic performance. My experience also includes designing and delivering reading and writing workshops, coaching teachers, and facilitating literacy programs in school and enrichment settings. I have worked in urban public schools, charter schools, and summer programs, consistently focusing on closing gaps in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, comprehension, and written expression while building student confidence and independence.
