My love for creative writing began at the age of 10, leading to my full scholarship with the International Writing Program through a youth grant funded by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation and the Department of State. At just 16 years old, I trained at the IWP and the Iowa Writers' Workshop, ranked #1 in American Masters of Fine Arts (MFA) programs. This passion for writing led me to excel in my coursework and internships as a college student at GW, where I honed my writing related to special topics in foreign policy.

I have a BA in International Affairs from The George Washington University, where I developed high-level writing and research at one of the nation's premier foreign affairs institutions. During my time as a student, I hosted educational panels for campus organizations. In these experiences I discovered a passion for teaching and working with youth. Through 5 internships in DC, Berkeley, and LA, I have authored policy memos and copy for national organizations.

As an alumni of my high school's debate program, where I served as President, one of my main strengths as a tutor would be to help students synthesize complex concepts into accessible narratives. Following my graduation from GW, I completed the first full draft of my debut collection of poetry, a de facto capstone thesis after my studies at the IWP. This process of writing and managing end-to-end project lifecycles demonstrates my commitment to the editing process for admissions essays and especially to the success of your student. If you are looking for a great college essay, English papers, or literature reviews, I'd be happy to help.

Creative Writing

An alumnus of the youth program Between the Lines: Identity & Belonging, I have robust skills in creative writing (Poetry) through my residency at the International Writing Program. I have also recently completed my first full-length collection of poetry through my studies at the IWP and creative writing coursework at The George Washington University.

Debate

I am an alumna of the Washington-Arlington Catholic Forensic League, where I competed in Public Forum debate, advancing to the 2019 Metro-Finals. My core competencies developed in Debate include Project Management, Policy Analysis, Critical Thinking, Time Management, and working knowledge of foreign policy issues, all of which led to top marks in my International Affairs program at The George Washington University. I'd be happy to assist your student with managing the end-to-end project lifecycle of a debate case with an alumni perspective.
Essay Writing

Essay Writing

At the Elliott School of International Affairs, I synthesized complex foreign policy concepts into 10-page essays at one of the nation's premier international affairs institutions, often on tight deadlines. I have familiarity with producing college-level essays, often scoring 95 or above on my own coursework. As a published writer, I can also guide your student through the process of editing their work for submission to English teachers or to the college admissions process.
